VC & PE
Data rooms for fund raises and portfolio sales.
Sell side processes and LP rooms come and go. Open a room for the process, run it for a quarter, then close it. You pay by the room, and guests are unlimited, so a wide bidder list costs nothing extra.
- Medium room, $500 a month
- Unlimited guests
- Three month minimum, then monthly

How it runs
A sale process, from setup to shortlist.
Most of the legwork happens before the first bidder logs in. After that, the room tells you who is serious.
- 01
Open the room
Create it, add the folders and invite people by email. It can be live before the kickoff call ends.
- 02
Keep each bidder in their own lane
Restrict a folder to named people. When you upload a file you choose its audience at the same moment, so there is no gap where the wrong bidder can see it.
- 03
Check it as a bidder
Use View As to see exactly what one bidder will see before the invite goes out.
- 04
Watch who reads what
Reading time counts only while the tab is visible. Filter by bidder and see which documents drew real attention.
- 05
Cull the list
Remove a bidder and their next click fails. Their activity stays in the audit log.
What you will use most
Controls that suit a competitive process.
Separate switches per person
View, print, download, edit, delete and e sign are set on their own, for each person and each document.
The reader’s name on the page
Watermarks carry the reader’s name, email, address and time, on view and on download.
Q&A tied to documents
Bidders ask about a specific document. An expert answers and a coordinator approves before the bidder sees it.
Refused attempts are logged
The log keeps a tally of what was blocked as well as what was allowed, with the person, document and time.
Unlimited guests
Bidders, LPs and their advisers are guests. There is no cap on guests on any plan.
Close it, restore it later
A deleted room goes to a list you can restore from. Its audit log is kept.
Typical fit: Medium room, $500 a month
50 GB of storage and 10 internal users. Running more than one process? Each room is billed on its own plan.
Questions from fund teams
Do LPs and bidders count as users?
No. Internal users are your team, the people who upload, set permissions and manage the room. Bidders, investors, counsel and auditors are guests, and guests are unlimited on every plan.
Can we run a room for one quarter and then close it?
Yes. Rooms have a three month minimum, then run month to month. When you close a room it moves to a deleted list you can restore from, and its audit log is kept.
Is there a charge per page or for extra data?
No. There are no per page or data overage fees. Each room size comes with a set amount of storage. If you need more than 100 GB, talk to us.
